The Holstentor ("Holsten Gate") is a late Brick Gothic city gate, the only still existing one beside the Burgtor and part of the medieval fortifications of Lübeck in Germany. It consists of two round towers at the north and the south side with an arched entranceway between them. Today it is considered a major landmark of Lübeck. Together with the Altstadt (old city) of Lübeck it is an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Wikipedia.

It was constructed between 1464 and 1478 by the council's architect Hinrich Helmstede following the example of Flandric bridge gates. Former middle gate in a complex of four town gates. Reconstructed between 1863 and 1871 and between 1933 and 1934. Houses the museum of municipal history.
